Hossein “Hamid” Momeni, 77, of Russellville, died Monday, March 27, 2017, at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock. He was born on June 10, 1939, in Tehran, Iran to Zeynolabedin Momeni and Aghdas Shervanian. He was a loving father, grandfather and he enjoyed literature and poetry. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Roya and David Meeks, Rozita Momeny and Gabriel Acosta, and Lillie and Johnny Story; two sisters, and two brothers; two granddaughters, Raya Mars and Assal Kayhan; and four grandsons, Aria and Ethan Acosta, and Ali and Amir Kayhan. David McVey, 74, of Atkins, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017, at his home. He was born May 28, 1942, in Atkins, son of the late Robert L. and Zettie Bone McVey. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Delma McVey, Roy Neil McVey, Kenneth McVey, and Shelby McVey; and two sisters, Olene McVey and Ruby C. Travis. He is survived by a brother, Doyle McVey and wife, Dorothy of Russellville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Tuesday, April 4, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. Charles “C.K” Kirksey Poynter, 62, of Russellville, departed us on Thursday, March 30, 2017. He was born Aug. 10, 1954, in Mulberry, Ark., to C.L. “Charlie” and Bette Wells Poynter. Kirk is survived by numerous friends and family, especially his children, Bryan Bearden, Jessica Poynter, and Catherine Phillips-Poynter. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Pamela Profitt. One of the most special and important people in his life was his granddaughter, Charlie Elizabeth Phillips. He is also survived by four loving siblings: Connie (Bo) Hawkins, Cathy Davis of Atlanta, Yancy (Rita) Poynter, and Tim Poynter.
